19th Head Coach in New York Giants History

David Bordoni is a New York, NY-based trial attorney with experience representing Fortune 500 companies. Outside of his pursuits in the legal sector, David Bordoni is a fan of the National Football League's (NFL’s) New York Giants.

This past January, the Giants named Joe Judge as the franchise’s new head coach. The 19th head coach in Giants’ history, he replaces Pat Shurmur, who served in this role over the past two seasons and compiled a combined win-loss record of 9-23.

Judge previously served five years as special teams coordinator with the Patriots and took on the added responsibility of wide receivers coach in 2019 following the departure of Chad O'Shea to the Miami Dolphins. He won three Super Bowls with the Patriots, and the team reached the AFC Championship Game in each of his first seven years in New England. Before coaching under Bill Belichick, Judge was part of Nick Saban's coaching staff at the University of Alabama. Belichick and Saban are among the most decorated coaches in football history.

Judge's coaching staff for the 2020 season will include former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett, who will serve as offensive coordinator, and former Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, who will again serve as defensive coordinator. The staff will also include Thomas McGaughey in the role of special teams coordinator, while Jerry Schuplinski will assume responsibilities as quarterbacks coach.
